V3X38.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 38.5 mm (1.516 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 44.5 mm (1.75 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The compound resists aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and chemical processing.
