Part number V1X4 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4 mm (0.157 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 6 mm (0.24 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).
