This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 41.6 mm (1.638 in), a cross section of 2.4 mm (0.094 in), and an outside diameter of 46.4 mm (1.83 in), catalogued under part number V2.4X41.6. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
