Ordered as V2.5X46, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 46 mm (1.811 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 51 mm (2.01 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.
