This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 47 mm (1.85 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 50 mm (1.97 in), catalogued under part number V1.5X47. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
