This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 47.6 mm (1.874 in), a cross section of 2.4 mm (0.094 in), and an outside diameter of 52.4 mm (2.06 in), catalogued under part number V2.4X47.6. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and automotive fuel systems.
