The V1X48 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 48 mm (1.89 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 50 mm (1.97 in). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
