This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 50 mm (1.969 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 58 mm (2.28 in), catalogued under part number V4X50. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.
