V1.5X5.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.5 mm (0.217 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 8.5 mm (0.33 in). It resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.
