The V3X5.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.5 mm (0.217 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 11.5 mm (0.45 in). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and high-temperature process equipment.
