V3X59 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 59 mm (2.323 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 65 mm (2.56 in). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
