V2.5X62 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 62 mm (2.441 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 67 mm (2.64 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, oil and gas, and semiconductor equipment.
