Ordered as V4.5X71, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 71 mm (2.795 in), a cross section of 4.5 mm (0.177 in), and an outside diameter of 80 mm (3.15 in). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids.
