V2X72 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 72 mm (2.835 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 76 mm (2.99 in). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
