V3X72 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 72 mm (2.835 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 78 mm (3.07 in). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The compound resists aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
