The V3X78 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 78 mm (3.071 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 84 mm (3.31 in). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. It resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
