Product Specification

-
Ordered as V4X82, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 82 mm (3.228 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 90 mm (3.54 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or amines.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and oil and gas.

Stocked as V4X82 and sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 6.25 g. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
