V3X84.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 84.5 mm (3.327 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 90.5 mm (3.56 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
