Ordered as V1X8.5, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.5 mm (0.335 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 10.5 mm (0.41 in). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).
