This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 85 mm (3.346 in), a cross section of 4.5 mm (0.177 in), and an outside diameter of 94 mm (3.7 in), catalogued under part number V4.5X85. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or ketones and esters are present.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, automotive fuel systems, and oil and gas.
