The V3X86 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 86 mm (3.386 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 92 mm (3.62 in). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
