This o-ring is supplied in AS568-907 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 0.53 in (13.46 mm), a cross section of 0.082 in (2.08 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.694 in (17.63 mm), catalogued under part number V75907. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, semiconductor equipment, and chemical processing.
