The V2.5X97 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 97 mm (3.819 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 102 mm (4.02 in). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, oil and gas, and automotive fuel systems.
