Ordered as V90370, this is an AS568-370 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.225 in (208.92 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.645 in (219.58 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and chemical processing.
