APG stocks the V90002, an AS568-002 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.042 in (1.07 mm), a cross section of 0.05 in (1.27 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.142 in (3.61 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.

Typical settings include chemical processing, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.
