Part number V90008 is an AS568-008 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.316 in (8.03 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters.
