V90142 is an AS568-142 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.362 in (59.99 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.568 in (65.23 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, automotive fuel systems, and high-temperature process equipment.
