-149 BROWN FKM 90D O-RING

The VB90149 is an AS568-149 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.8 in (71.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.006 in (76.35 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include automotive fuel systems, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
