Ordered as V90156, this is an AS568-156 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.237 in (107.62 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.443 in (112.85 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aerospace, automotive fuel systems, and high-temperature process equipment.
