V90165 is an AS568-165 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.487 in (164.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.693 in (170 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
