Ordered as V90171, this is an AS568-171 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aerospace, automotive fuel systems, and semiconductor equipment.
