Part number VB90249 is an AS568-249 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.859 in (123.42 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.137 in (130.48 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, semiconductor equipment, and high-temperature process equipment.
