This o-ring is supplied in AS568-253 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 5.359 in (136.12 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.637 in (143.18 mm), catalogued under part number VB90253. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, automotive fuel systems, and aerospace.
