-256 BLACK FKM 90D O-RING

V90256 is an AS568-256 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.734 in (145.64 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.012 in (152.7 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, chemical processing, and semiconductor equipment.
