This o-ring is supplied in AS568-277 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 11.484 in (291.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.762 in (298.75 mm), catalogued under part number VB90277. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.
