Part number V90283 is an AS568-283 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.233 in (437.72 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against many acids, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
