-424 BLACK FKM 90D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-424 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 4.35 in (110.49 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.9 in (124.46 mm), catalogued under part number V90424. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, high-temperature process equipment, and aerospace.
