Part number V90428 is an AS568-428 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.85 in (123.19 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.4 in (137.16 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
