This o-ring is supplied in AS568-916 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.403 in (35.64 mm), catalogued under part number V90916. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
