Ordered as V90M1.78X8.73, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.73 mm (0.344 in), a cross section of 1.78 mm (0.07 in), and an outside diameter of 12.29 mm (0.48 in). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
