An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists petroleum oils, ozone and weathering, and aromatic fuels and jet fuel. Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) is valued for excellent ozone and UV stability, a very wide service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 350°F (176.7°C).
