An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists petroleum oils, ozone and weathering, and chlorinated solvents. Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) delivers good compression set resistance in static duty and a very wide service temperature range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 350°F (176.7°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or hydrazine are present.
