This o-ring is supplied in AS568-038 blue Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 2.614 in (66.4 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.754 in (69.95 mm), catalogued under part number FS70038. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to aromatic fuels and jet fuel, extreme cold, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) is known for the standard choice for static aerospace fuel system seals and a very wide service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 350°F (176.7°C).
