METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

Part number FVV-0005-A is a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. A v-ring seal stretches onto a shaft and seals axially against a counterface, shedding contamination by centrifugal action. Supplementary detail from the product record: 4.5-5.5 MM Rod 4 X 2.4.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters.

Typical settings include aerospace, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
