METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

Ordered as FVV-0012-A, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal stretches onto a shaft and seals axially against a counterface, shedding contamination by centrifugal action.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids.
