METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

APG stocks the FVV-0022-A, a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. A v-ring seal acts as a primary or secondary exclusion seal that flings dirt and water away as the shaft turns.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Applications involving ketones and esters or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
