METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

Ordered as FVV-0040-A, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal installs without tools and seals against the face of a housing or bearing.

Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Applications involving ketones and esters or amines call for a different compound.
