METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE S

Ordered as FVV-0130-S, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type S V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal acts as a primary or secondary exclusion seal that flings dirt and water away as the shaft turns.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include oil and gas, chemical processing, and high-temperature process equipment.
