METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

APG stocks the FVV-0350-A, a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. A v-ring seal acts as a primary or secondary exclusion seal that flings dirt and water away as the shaft turns.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include high-temperature process equipment, automotive fuel systems, and oil and gas.
