H3.55X40 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 40 mm (1.575 in), a cross section of 3.55 mm (0.14 in), and an outside diameter of 47.1 mm (1.85 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. It resists propane and butane, petroleum-based oils, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or ketones.
